  • Chinese Community Outreach Coordinator

    The MinKwon Center for Community Action is seeking a dedicated and talented individual to serve as a Chinese Community Outreach Coordinator. The Chinese Community Outreach Coordinator will work directly with low- and middle-income clients in need of public benefits, tax filing assistance, and immigration services, as well as with other staff on the implementation of various Social Services programs.

  • Civic Participation (Civic Engagement) Director

    The MinKwon Center is seeking a dedicated and talented individual to serve as a Civic Participation Director. This individual will work closely with the Executive Director and other staff to oversee MinKwon's civic engagement work to empower the Asian American community through electoral organizing, education and advocacy around voting rights/reforms. The Civic Participation Director will guide MinKwon's efforts in coalition-building, strategic thinking and execution of voter engagement campaigns.

  • Spring 2017 Internship: Tax Preparation & Public Benefits Intern

    One branch of the MinKwon Center’s Social Services Program focuses on empowering low-income, immigrant community members to access various government public benefits. The Social Services Coordinator specifically screens for eligibility and assists in the application of Food Stamps, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), ITINs, and Bank Accounts. Under the direct supervision of the Social Services Coordinator, the intern will advise and counsel Korean clients, prepare applications, conduct research on policy issues, and manage the client database.
